01 · Business model

What does Vakrangee do?

Vakrangee Limited operates as an integrated 'Go-To-Market' platform, building India's largest last-mile distribution network through franchised physical outlets known as Vakrangee Kendras. These outlets deliver a diverse suite of multi-line consumer services, spanning banking, insurance, ATM operations, assisted e-commerce, digital healthcare, bill payments, and online agricultural products.

The company's core distribution infrastructure is anchored by a retail network spanning tens of thousands of outlets across multiple states and districts, heavily concentrated in semi-urban and rural Tier IV, V, and VI regions where formal financial and commercial access is limited.

Vakrangee operates an asset-light, retail-focused franchise model supported by district-level master franchisees who drive outlet expansion, compliance, and on-ground operational support on an ongoing basis.

Through its subsidiary Vortex Engineering, the group also manufactures low-power ATMs and develops cross-platform ATM management software such as the Perfo suite, serving domestic public and private sector banks as well as international clients across emerging markets.
