03 · Cashflow Runway Map
How Long Could Your Emergency Cash Last?
Test a temporary income shock and a one-off expense against your liquid savings. See the time until your emergency buffer is exhausted and how much runway remains after the shock ends.
Months until cash floor is reached—
Cash after shock—
Extra buffer needed—
Model: monthly cash burn = max(essential spending − income during shock, 0). The one-time cost is paid immediately. The cash floor is a safety reserve, not a bank balance requirement. Excludes interest, tax, investment volatility and unexpected additional expenses; no account data is stored.

How to interpret this scenario
Stress-test an emergency fund against temporary income loss, essential expenses, an urgent bill and a protected cash buffer.
- Count only accessible liquid cash, not volatile investments or inaccessible deposits.
- Separate essential expenses from discretionary spending; keep income during disruption realistic.
- A one-time cost is deducted immediately. The monthly shortfall then reduces cash each month.
